The event was held in the backroom of a pub and everyone else wore what most people wear to pubs in the U.S. nowadays — sweatshirts, t-shirts, flannel shirts, faded jeans… Even the bride, a do-it-yourselfer who had probably been busy doing all sorts of pre-wedding prep, showed up in kind of grungy work clothes. So, I advise focusing more on the venue and the prevailing culture of the nuptial couple and their friends and family. But if you like to dress up a bit, don’t let that hold you back.
